We have received reports from customers that some Apple computers are not able to maintain a stable connection with the spacemic. This seems to affect those computers manufactured in the 2023 – 2025 period that combine Thunderbolt 4 and USB in the same physical ports. According to discussions on various internet forums, this issue affects many USB devices from many manufacturers. While the precise reasons are not clear, it has been found that a reliable remedy is to insert a USB hub between the host computer and the USB device. A USB hub decodes and reencodes the data being sent in both directions and can therefore overcome electrical compatibility issues between specific hosts and devices. As a service to our customers, we offer, free of charge, a small one-port hub. The offer includes free shipping and is limited to one unit per purchased microphone. The hub has the form of a small dongle and has a USB A male connector on one end and a USB A female connector on the other. It is bundled with USB C – USB A and a USB A – USB C adaptors.
